I'm going to be ordering some spoon blanks here soon and doctoring them up a bit.
I've ordered some die-cuts (pre cut reflective or holographic material) have some paints, and I'm going to use hooks and split rings of my own choosing.
These will be used mostly at my parents cabin on Lake Louise for Lake trout.
Are there any particular styles, sizes, or weights that you prefer?
There's a lot of options out there for sure!
And the bigger ones aren't exactly cheap so I'm not looking to purchase a ton of different styles.
I've had decent luck with spinners and jigs in the past but I know spoons are also quite effective so I want to have more of them in my tackle box.
I've got some Owner and Gamakatsu hooks to use and Roscoe split rings so that part is already covered.
What are your favorite laker spoons for summer fishing?
