Trout fishing is pretty good on the local lakes!
It's a great time to get the kids out to catch a few trout in the evening after work or whenever you have time.
I got out in my boat yesterday and tested some of my new handcrafted tackle.
Turns out the fish love them too.
Made some for a friend and his daughter.
Her favorite color is teal so that's why those are in the mix. Didn't test that particular color myself though.
But, the horsehead jigs with the 1.7" preybait swimbait tail worked really well.
As did a few of my other jigs.
Was out by myself so didn't get lots of pictures.
Lost some really nice fish(20"+)but landed quite a few that still put up a decent fight jumping and flipping out of the water.
If you get a chance take a kid fishing!

BTW the hottest colors were Tequila Sunrise horsehead in 1/16 with #00 Indiana blades in nickel and the 1.7" preybait in my version of electric chicken. And the same jig in a Sapphire with a preybait tail in purple back with purple holographic glitter and a monkey milk belly.

Good for you! It's a little warm up here for the cold water species. 83 to 87 all week. Fish are lethargic and tender. Surface water temps are very high.

Have fun.
