Hey, guys. I just got some brand new unprimed Norma brass and was running it through my RCBS full-length resizing die to try to get things as uniform as possible before loading. The brass appears to have scratched the inside of the dies and is now leaving scratches that I can catch with my fingernail on my new brass. Anyone else have this problem with Norma brass? I disassembled and cleaned the die and it does seem scratched. Are carbide sizing dies the solution?

Okay. Took sizing die apart and polished with flitz on a patch wrapped around a large nylon bore brush chucked into an electric drill. Fixed. Mostly. Buildup of brass flecks inside die. There’s still an imperfection in it but I’m not seeing it transfer to this brass yet.

When I first started reloading, I had a bunch of Winchester nickel brass. Over time the nickel flaked off and stuck to the inside of the sizing die and then scratched every piece of brass I sized. I don't use nickel brass.

Glad you solved your problem with a quick clean.
