Thinking about doing a trip down to the coast - my year/season has been pretty shot as far as hunting goes.
We have been really busy buying a new home, moving and prepping the old home on top of a lot of family trauma outside my immediate family group that is still strongly impacting the wife and kids (I thought I was doing ok until a recent realization so there is that.)
I haven't gotten out at all this year and am hoping to get out one or two more times but am really thinking about heading down to the coast to try and get some Coastal birds.
If a guy was going to try to go by myself where would be the better places to go and what as far as decoys should a guy bring? Thinking about coming down for 4-5 days and just making a trip of it.

No just a lot of coast in Alaska, I’ve got experience in Kachemak but for a guy with no boat that isn’t doable.
Maybe somebody has some experience down in Valdez?

I think 4 star charters out of whittier does day trips. Also does diy drop offs. Not much in anchorage, would need a boat to get out into the flats, and if your thinking november, most of thr stuff will be locked up and if your lookong for sea ducks it's going to be a low low low chance around anchorage.
