This is the new M70 Win, that was assembled in Portugal under the FN company.
It was originally shooting 6 to 8 inch groups at 100 yards.
So far I have;
1. Lapped the bore.
2. Polished the interior of the bolt assembly. And firing pin.
3. Reduced the horrible trigger pull from 6 pounds down to 3. ( needs work)
4. Removed the crappy factory bedding and re-bedded the action.
5. Free floated the barrel better than the factory did,,,,

Ok, I've been following your Progress, and it comes to mind,,,, I need to ask what your Barrel Profile is, as my Rem M700 Mtn. Rifle .30/06 will Shoot 3-Rounds pretty quick with a close-grouping, (see Attached) but if I try a 4th Shot following those 1st-3, it's going to Fly out about 3/8" +/-, So, you can see where I'm going with this thought process,,,,, ie..... The Mtn. Rifle has a 22" Pencil Style Barrel Profile,,, thus my Question to you....... and I've been Shooting this Rifle since the Mid-80's +/-, and it doesn't matter what Ammo, or Bullet Weight---

I bought a Sako years ago and it shot sub moa right from the box with just about any load I could roll for it. The point of impact might change for different ammo, but the groups always stayed tight.

SR, I bought my son a Tikka 695 in 06 about 20 years ago that shoots the same way. He has never needed another big game rifle.

Es handelt sich um ein Sportlerprofil. Nicht zu schwer und nicht zu leicht.

Ok then, it's a 24" Sportsman's Standard Profile Barrel, with Open Sights, I like that, as I carry my Scope in my Back-Pack when Hiking into a Hunting Area, have done this for Years, so when and if Mr. Bruin shows-up, you know it's going to be Up-Close and personnel, anyway, Good Luck going forward, and just so you don't feel like the Lone-Ranger with this New Winnie built across the Pond, I've attached something for your viewing pleasure...... :ninja:

Hi! What scope, rings and rail are you using? I just got my rifle this week and have been seeing what setups are good for it.
