I drive past this trail system every time I head down to my cabin and always wonder if I can use that system to access my property without needing to drive to Talkeetna. I have never checked it out though. Wondering if anyone has ever checked out that system and would be able to comment on river crossings?

I am not inclined to think that the rivers freeze solid enough to cross there, but if they do. I could save an hour or so on my trips out. My cabin is the red X and is almost a straight shot from the trailhead.

I am also looking for somewhere new to trail ride for fun. I know the Petersville area is supposed to be very fun riding. Any info is appreciated, I normally don't mind finding out for myself but this time of year is extremely busy for me so I have to maximize every minute.

Thanks!

There is a road that go east from Trapper Ck. That dead ends into the Susitna RV. Across from Talkeetna. I think the people in Talkeetna use it to get to Petersville area.

Trapper Ck. To Talkeetna is 4 miles.

There used to be trail maps of the Petersville trail system.

I had a feeling that there would be at least one trail. I am hoping that it can get me to the tracks by Chase then it will be easy as pie to get to my place.
