Yukon Ice Chest

Before hunting season last fall I decided to get a high end Ice Chest, and went with the Yukon. First thing I noticed is that even empty the bugger is very heavy, which is good and bad. I have put a couple of blocks of ice and one or two bags of cubes. This week I have had it in the back of my truck with a blue tarp over it, and after 7 days there is still about 50% of the ice left. I try not to get in and out of it a lot, and when I do I don't linger. I am extremely impressed with this and believe the adage that you get what you pay for. Glad I bought it and should have done it a long time age.

I think it is 45 or 50 quarts. Bought it at Sportsman Warehouse and use the Veteran's discount is all.

A couple of years ago I bit the bullet and bought a Yeti cooler. We spent 11 days on the Yukon river in July, we started with 2 gallons of ice and still had a bit of ice in the cooler after the 11 days. Like Roger said only opened it a few times a day. Amazing coolers, but big $.
