Apparently that cam is O/S UFN, but there's a cam at the end of Main St., which is pointed at the bay...

There's also the FAA weathercams which look in four directions and one is pointed kinda towards the bay. Updated every 5 minutes. https://weathercams.faa.gov/

My work schedule, marine weather and harbor ice made it tough end of 2021. First trip 2022 was what I needed. First king of 2022. Beautiful morning and great day out with my wife.

Nice pic. Hoping to get down there in a couple of weeks. I remember the first couple of years I had my boat, I'd go as long as the wind and waves were decent no matter the temp. Now, I find myself waiting for at least 25 above for a high and decent winds/waves. So needless to say, none of those three have lined up for me yet. Here's hoping we have some "warmer" weather coming up.
I'm so stupid that 20° is my temp limit. Saltwater just freezes to everything after that.

Well, they don't call it Winter King fishing for nothing...
Came across this pic - running back to weigh fish in at the end of 2018 HWK Derby, got 15th place that year! Pic is being taken by JamieQueen who is beating me. One of the things I look forward to is the race out and the race in - Love it!

Tough day on the water for me. Fished in a snow globe. Lost my bearing many times. Wind, currents, and visibility kept me from fishing very effectively. One bite, shoveled deck while fishing, and terrible drive home.

Amazing day in K Bay!! Hooked four, boated three. It's always the same story, but the fish that I didn't get to the boat it's going to haunt me. Two huge screaming runs and I was shook. I'm hope I find that fish for the derby. No scale on board but I kept a 36inch beauty for the ride home.

looks like it was an amazing weather day out there! do you just get a slip for the winter down there? only places i have trolled up a king was in PWS and it was pretty lucky i think. Have wanted to do this for a while but dont wanna drag the boat down through the pass for the weekend. Have to get my wife on board since she really likes shrimping in the spring.
Whittier in the summer and Homer in the winter. Homer has a cool winter slip program that allows you to even have power for the winter months.
