Where to buy bait herring in Juneau?

A&P sells herring as well, blues and greens. That not be what you're referencing when you say "flats" or "bags" though...

I usually get tray bait from Western Auto. I was looking for a flat of herring, something like 25 lbs for $15. That is what I paid the last time I bought some in Hoonah. I have never seen "bag bait" in Juneau, but down here (San Francisco) it runs about $3/lb for anchovies or sardines, and sometimes herring.

Taku, and I think it's Glacier seafoods? in Auke Bay supply bait to the commercial fleet; supply and quality varies.

I've sorted out some nice trolling bait and had some that Dungies would gag.
