As the subject states: Pick your favorite all time AOD question.

Can't see the poll on my iFon but I sure do get a kick out of the off the gridders and the ones who come here with no experience and tell those who have been kicking around the state for years how it is done.

Going to build me a house tirty feet under ground and power it on hopes and dreams. Going to throw a moose quarter over my shoulder and walk 5 miles. Going to spend "insert long period of time here" living remote and hunting/fishing for my meals. Going to build a cabin from logs in the wilderness and live the subsistence lifestyle.

I have no interest in the what caliber for x animal threads at this point and rarely even open them but the wild eyed passion from outsiders who have big idealistic plans draws me in every time!

Is walking across 5 miles of tundra REALLY that difficult?

The draw hunt queries are the bestest.

My favorite complaint is "I've been putting in for permits for two years and still haven't drawn anything. The system is rigged!" (That complaint is even richer when it comes out that the person only puts in for three permits each drawing - two Delta bison and TMA sheep.

As for questions, though, I'd have to go with cdubbin's submission. That one is a classic!

I'm with Lujon and Cdubbin...the dreamers just kill me. I've got no problem helping those that have a good plan, it's the bad planners that drive me crazy.

Come on Doug it's not like you have any qualifications to give advice to folks trying to build remote.

My fav. is "what are you having for dinner tonight?"

I always wanted to hi-jack that thread with posted pictures of truly unhealthy food. Like: My quadruple bacon/sausage/fourcheese/1.5 lb beef patty burger dripping with butter/garlic/portabello mushroom sauce. When I added everything up, it appeared to have over 16,000 calories.

But when I hit 230 lbs this winter, it wasn't a very funny idea anymore, as I felt I was on my way towards a quadruple bypass heart surgery. Haha! jokes on me. Finally back down to semi- lean 210 lbs.
