You need to get your taste buds in order. Nothing beats a beef steak. To say otherwise is lying to yourself. You're either not eating the right wild game, or maybe you aren't killing and tending to your meat correctly. The only wild game meat I've killed and eaten that wasn't better than beef was an old Billy goat.
Venison, better than beef.
Elk, better than beef.
Moose, better than beef.
Caribou, better than beef.
Bison, better than beef.
I've never had sheep or muskox, but I've heard they're better than beef. Then there's all the small game that gives beef a run for the money...
Beef is better, it’s not even close. You’re entitled to your opinion but it’s wrong.Your post is total BS. I've never had beef that was better than moose, sheep, or bison. In fact, I like deer and caribou better also but my wife will disagree.
Thanks for the “alternative“ factsBeef is better, it’s not even close. You’re entitled to your opinion but it’s wrong.
The best aged moose steak isn’t couldn’t beat a poorly aged slightly over cooked beef steak.
Be honest with yourself and others. It’s ok to admit it. Not saying wild game is bad but to say it’s better than beef? Nope.
Moose burger vs beef. Not even close. Or are you one of those guys that adds beef or pork to your moose burger? 😂
love it when people say oh man those moose dogs were amazing! That’s cuz they have some other meat in them! Make them with the fat from the moose and let me know how they taste.
Sorry about throwing all those facts at you.
Have fun eating your dry moose burgers 😂Thanks for the “alternative“ facts.

I like beef. I like pork. I don’t like it better. It is psychological to me. I grew up in Idaho around feed lots. I watched cows and pigs live their entire life marinating in their own feces. Saw the whole process start to finish. Knowing how my protein is taken care of means a lot to me.Have fun eating your dry moose burgers 😂
Oh man those moose brats are so yummy! Because you put pork in them 😂😂😂
That smelly yellow liquid that you pour out of beef burger after you cook it is very unappetizing. Beef burger stinks when you cook it. I'll pass. I'll take moose every time. Literally, since I "Harvest" one every year.Beef is better, it’s not even close. You’re entitled to your opinion but it’s wrong.

Same here...feed lots and sugar beet processing plants, the smell is so gross...I like beef. I like pork. I don’t like it better. It is psychological to me. I grew up in Idaho around feed lots. I watched cows and pigs live their entire life marinating in their own feces. Saw the whole process start to finish. Knowing how my protein is taken care of means a lot to me.
Now that's a hunt. Worth more than any meat or antlersYep, as we already know, for some people it's ALL about the kill.
And on the opposite side of the coin... I remember a bowhunter I guided from Wisconsin on a moose/caribou combo. I called in 7 moose for him. Some were sublegal, some were legal and just out of his range, and some were monsters where he just blew it. I kept trying to hand him my rifle, but he wouldn't take it. Went to caribou camp and saw some caribou. Had a few in range for him but he decided not to shoot. Were some nicer bulls out of range, and again I tried to hand him my rifle, but, with a smile on his face, he refused. After eight days he never let an arrow fly. When it came time for him to go, he told me he had the time of his life and would be coming back. For some, it's all about the experience.
You and I are definitely looking for different things in a hunt. Some of your "Facts" are really your opinions, not facts. To you, beef is better, that's an opinion, some people like moose better.Yes really it’s about the kill. You want to go on a nature hike and find yourself go for a hike and do that. When I go hunting it’s to kill. Anyone that says otherwise is lying to themselves. I know what you’re trying to sell but ain’t buying it.
Meat? Hell no. Beef tastes way better than any wild game. Fact.
The goal out hunting is to kill. And to not kill is failure. A guy running a race that quits without finishing will not look back fondly on that race. You go golfing and you don’t hit a ball? You’re not looking back on that trip.
You pay for a hooker and walk away without getting some? Failure.
It’s like the guys that use the term harvest when it comes to hunting. This isn’t corn. we be straight up killing !
Wait a minute. Going on a float is not a hunt? I have killed lots of animals on floats. At what point does a float become a hunt? Lots of people float hunt. I glass a lot on a float, I stop and climb hills and glass.Going on a float isn't a hunt. As I said before this whole post is a fishing expedition.
They no longer want to kill something or they no longer feel like they need to kill something? Maybe both. I have spent my life big game guiding, commercial fishing and trapping for a living. I've killed a lot of stuff and I continue to but I do not need to kill something to feel like I had a successful hunt. And it's not a surprise that when some people get to a certain age, they no longer want to kill anything. Not that they can't, but for whatever reason, just don't want to take a life anymore. Can't blame them for that.
Indeed, it was, and he was a great guy to be around. The only problem we ran into was when he got bit by a whitesox on the cheekbone, and it swelled up like a baseball. Poor guy got a fever too and it basically put him down for a whole day in basecamp. But he even took that in stride. Now that's a hunt. Worth more than any meat or antlers
I’ve got problems but that isn’t it. The fat helps in making a great tasting steak. Wild game just doesn’t have that.Magpie,
I see what your problem is, you are talking about fat and not meat. You like cow fat over game fat. Like I said maybe you aren't tending to your meat correctly, cooking your meat properly is tending to it correctly.
That’s not the whole process. Few cows that end up on your table spend their whole life in a feedlot. Pigs yes but not cows.I like beef. I like pork. I don’t like it better. It is psychological to me. I grew up in Idaho around feed lots. I watched cows and pigs live their entire life marinating in their own feces. Saw the whole process start to finish. Knowing how my protein is taken care of means a lot to me.
That’s loser talk. I guess it’s a way to justify when you don’t kill something. Why not have both? One without the other is failure. You and I are definitely looking for different things in a hunt. Some of your "Facts" are really your opinions, not facts. To you, beef is better, that's an opinion, some people like moose better.
Killing is the point at which you pull the trigger. Hunting is everything you do before the killing. I like hunting very much but I do not need to kill something to hunt for it.
I have only failed if I set out to do something and didn't. Just because I hunted, it doesn't mean I set out to kill something, I will pass on some, and if I like I will shoot something. I will make that decision when it arises.
But if you do it better be beef!Don't feed the troll.
