What cooler do you use?

I've been using the cheaper Coleman and equivalent brands for years. I've had enough of broken hinges so when I was at Three Bears today I scored a Calcutta 80L for $177, marked down from $249. I can only find one review online and it's a Five star. Anyone else have actual experience with one of these brand coolers?

Large one from Sams Club, replaced plastic hinges with stainless steel.

It looks to be roto-molded along the lines of Yeti, Engel, Grizzly, etc. Can't argue with the price, the 80L on Amazon lists at $267. It's probably going to hold up really well and the only question is how well insulated is it? OK, maybe a lot more questions like...How thick are the walls? What are the dimensions? What is the drain like? Does it have divider or tray? Can you post some pics?

Sounds like a great buy and I'm sure it will do well for you.

It has a threaded drain plug, tray for one side and a divider that is a cutting board! Wall thickness is 3" everywhere so if should hold ice at least twice as long as a Coleman!

Curious,

Is it Bear Resistant?
I know the Yetti Coolers say they are bear resistant, (I'm not talking bear proof) but Yetti doesn't look very bear resistant to me.
Maybe that isn't an issue for your circumstances.

Looks like it has the lock holes on the front corners of the lid like the Yeti.
So my guess, maybe. :hmmmm:

Yes it does have holes for locks or whatever. I use a pistol for bear protection lol
