Vikingo to Prince Wales Islane in August

I contacted my cousin, and found out his place in Alaska is on Prince Wales, he's down around el Capitan and Bear Valley Lodge.

Any of you familiar with this location?

I may either drive on my way to Baja, have to stop in Glendale AZ to pick up slide in anyway. I can either go NW or SW...I think it will be NW

From the looks of things I will be moving my summers to Prince Wales, had enough time in old Mexico...

Any info pertaining to driving my way to Ketchikan would help. Any info at all, will help. What I don't know about Alaska would fill a tome.

Great trip, and the easiest way to get a motor vehichle to Ketchikan. You can leave out of Bellingham Washington, and you should be there in less than two days. Do a Google search on Alaska Marine Highway, and you should find all of the details you need!

You can take the ferry from belligham, and it does the inside paggage which would be a beautiful ride. Took the ferry from ketchikan to haines and it was awesome. You can get a cabin or they have a solarium which is covered on the back and also has heat lamps for the night. Also if you are looking for a cheaper way you can drive through BC and goi to Prince Rupert and take the ferry from there. I priced it out as I did this drive twice to get to ketchikan and it was cheaper and a nice drive through BC but I bet the ferry woiuld be awesome up through. Your choice either way will work.

Thank you, will do the PA first time...anxious as a nine yr old on first fishing trip...just the few photos I've seen are indescribeable. I know I'm hooked and have not yet stepped foot in AK Baja was great, but I look forward to another adventure....maybe
