i posted something about bear spray in the hiking section (i started the thread in fact) I come back to read the 3 pages of posts in response.. I cant find my original post on page one... the posts are in reverse chronological order i think.. geeze see how hard we can make it to read and learn.. making it too hard and too timely to get info... so i am pretty much giving up here... thanks

AK-49, I wouldn't give up quite yet. Should be an easy fix.

Click on "User CP" at the top left of the forum.

Once that loads, on the left hand side you will see a link that says "Edit Options" about halfway down.

Under Thread Display options, you will see a box and yours likely says "Linear-Newest First". Change that to "Linear-Oldest First" and that should be fixed.

I do agree that having the newest first is WAY bad, but change it and see if that helps. With the thread in question, your post is likely at the end the way you have it set up.

If it makes you feel any better, AK-49, I felt the same way when I first joined this forum. I didn't know what in the world I was doing either and it was very frustrating. I don't know how I finally figured it out, but either I changed it or it was changed for me and I was able to see it the way that you are describing it.

Recently, this came topic came up at the Outdoors Directory Christmas Party when we were posting pictures and Vince told me that his is in the reverse order that mine is in. He couldn't understand why I'd scroll through and hop pages when they could appear in chronological order instead of reverse chronological order. It's all in preference.

Hang in there. Don't give up hope. There is so much more to this website and forum board. You just have to get passed the learning curve and you will see you that you will enjoy it. I assure you. There is so much to learn from Outdoors Directory and the members that are inside of it.

Always,

Thanks for asking about that. It was driving me nuts and I was just starting to get used to it. I thought I was going down that road early. :D
