Went to the trail that leads to my bear stand yesterday, didn't make it very far. The snow on the trail is still over two feet deep! Me and three other guys on atvs made it up the first hill with some pushing and winching but gave up after that. Last year we hit snow on the second hill and shovel out about 200 yards and went our way. It looks like we are at least three weeks behind on snow melt here in Valdez. Looking at the coming weeks weather we are not going to catch up any time soon.
