Valdez Bear Hunting Question?

Thinking about making the trip to Valdez and I know there are a lot of restrictions in that area. Just curious if there are any locals on here that can give me some insight on the area. I hear that there are lots of bears in that area but stay away from the mud flats as they are no hunting areas and bear viewing only if I read that info earlier.

If you go to the city of Valdez web page, you shpuld be able to find the restrictions on the site. There are more than the flats..... lots more.

Unless your going out in the sound, thats a long trip to battle it out with the road system locals. Lots of restrictions and pretty rough country. but they're are bears. But a lot of bears much closer to you.
