The VA now sends mental health info on vets whom are deamed to not be able to handle their own affairs even if a wife or parents are doing so for the vet to NICS. The VA has stated it will not send to info to New York as required by their new laws as the federal government does not fall under state control. Of course when New York does a NICS on everyone living there they will find out anyway.
