Transient Slip Etiquette

Newby question here - I am planning on being in Seward over the 4th of July weekend, but what does one do if all of the transient slips are taken? Do you ask another boater politely and double up on a slip? Go find an anchorage somewhere? (Not all that easy out of Seward.) Any other ideas? :hmmmm:

They will find a spot for you. Try to avoid the slips right next to he parking lot by the put in...found several broken off snaggin hooks in my boat while staying there. No broken windows yet so happy on that account.

throw out the buoy balls and raft right up !! try not to tie up next to the drunks.

Seward is easy. Just go into the harbormasters office and they will assign you a transient slip. They have two types. One is your own slip or they will raft you up on the long dock with others. Sort of a pain when the inside boat wants out earlier in the morning than you planned on untiying, so we've always got a slip by itself.
