Well it's Iditarod weekend.
Time for all the dogsleders to go to Nome.
Sunday will be a zoo in Willow Be Careful out there!!!
Please keep fire pits away from the trail !!!!!
No new snow, lows in the morning around 0, Highs around 20 durring the day. Watch for wind drifts! Good time to have scratchers on your machines as the trails a river are very packed and hard!
All trails are in great shape now but will be a mess by Sun.
Just a note we had a guy with a dozer and a pickup tear up the Deshka River X-over late Sun. 4 to 10 inch rips in the trail. messed up the ramp at the Big Su and broke though the ice on the Deshka. We did get him to give us $200 to fix it and we spent about 5hrs. shoveling ramps and gromming out most of the tracks. What a mess!!!!!​

We just came back up the Rolly Creek Trail to Vera Lake and Bootstrap to home yesterday, Wednesday and the trail was in fantastic shape. I was riding with a friend who has spent most of his life on village trails and he couldn't get over how smooth the trails were. Thanks for the hard work.

Grills are not a problem unless the smoke goes right in front of the teams.
And there go your burger.:lol:
Firepits become a big problem the first time it snows and people don't know there doing 50 arcoss Long Lake.
The best you can do is keep it back a little and cover it with snow and level it out the best you can when you are done.​
