Does anyone here have any experience with a Tikka T3? How is the fit and finish? Trigger? Accuracy? Thinking about picking one up in a wsm.

I have a friend who is a girl, although she is not my girlfriend, who has one. I have only heard good things about them and hers appears to be very nice. She loves it and has taken deer with it. It's Finnish and like all things Finnish, it is good. (I'm Finnish) :D

I know two people with them (.308 and .300wm) and they seem like excellent rifles. For a factory rifle, I think it's hard to do better for the price. There are a lot of good reviews on YouTube - I've yet to see negative commentary on them, especially considering how reasonable they are price wise. I'll probably end up buying one myself.

I bought one for my wife, the Superlite version (fluted barrel) in 7mm-08. She loves it, as do I. I like to hunt with it when she is not using it. Lightweight, sturdy, crisp trigger, accurate, comfortable to carry.

I've got a brother-in-law who has one in .300 WSM and a sister-in-law who has one in .308. Believe both of theirs are the T3 lite versions. I haven't shot either of those, but they both speak highly of them as well.

Excellent rifles. Hard to beat for the price. Very well made, lightweight, accurate and reliable. Two minor weaknesses I would point out
1: The trigger guard is plastic, and can be broken. I've replaced 2 for customers, and they don't come cheap, about 140.00, as it includes the frame around the magazine well, and is all one molded piece.
2: The detachable magazine, when outside of the gun, is somewhat fragile, The thin plastic sides can be crushed or cracked if put under moderate stress. (Don't put one in your back pocket and sit down on it, it'll cost you about 70.00).

I've had mine (Stainless Steel .300 WM) for quite some time and I love it. Stan Jackson put a muzzle break on it for me right after I got it and it really knocked down the kick.

I think Mambamag makes a good metal magazine that is compatible with these…?

Edit: Well, for short action at least. And it looks like they are 10 rd capacity only

I have a T3 Lite 300WSM that I have never fired, but the chamber is pretty tight. I thought something was wrong with it because I had gotten some factory Nosler Custom brass and the bolt wouldn't close on that brass. Turned out that brass was on the long end of the spec and chamber on the short end. Factory Winchester ammo chambered in it just fine. I also got a Mountain Tactical mag for it. One of these days I will go see how it actually shoots. I have a 30-06 T3X Lite that I hunt with, and its been great.

Love mine! My go to rifle since they came out. Note that all T-3s are long action, even if in a short action caliber. So going short saves no weight. Lots in archives.

thanks for all the comebacks. I have been reading about it the archives. There are several companies making metal mags and also aluminum bottom metal. Even some with AICS detachable mags. I need to put one in my hands before I “pull the trigger “ pun intended.
