Good to hear, sounds like you've got a good one! My ACDs do lick their paws but if it's excessive, I holler and they stop. Usually, more so when they need a toenail trim, so I suppose it's my fault.

Curious if we have any pro bird dog trainers on the forum? Like I mentioned above I did train a chessie that turned out amazing, but she was a pup when I started. Of course I knew all about training a pup but that was very long ago and I know I’m setting myself up for a challenge to turn a 5 year old into a bird dog. Just thought it would be nice to bend the ear of a professional if I need to. Thanks.
