Taylor HWY area conditions?

I might be posting this in the wrong area, but I figured there would be some of you trapping up in that area and was wondering what the snow depth was like? How was the road? Thinking about taking the wife up there and calling it a caribou hunt, but more like a "get outa town and see what we see" type of deal. We spend a lot of time up there in the spring and fall but it'll be the first winter trip.
