Taxidermist in Soldotna Area ?

Guys,
I saw the recent post on recommendations for taxidermists in Anchorage. Got a nice bear and am looking for someone in the Soldotna area that does good work. It would be nice to find someone closer to home, but I'll gladly drive to Anchorage if need be.

Leon Metz at northland furs. He is behind chevron at the y. He has been doing taxidermy for 30+ years and will make a very nice mount you can be proud of. His number is 262-8568.

+2 for Leon! He has done great work on my bears.

I tried Caribou Unlimited out in Sterling one time when Leon wasn't available to help me out. That mount is in my basement. The work was ok but facing the wrong direction even though I gave him photos of exactly what I wanted.

Rodger does do good work, Leon taught him. When you learn from someone of that caliber you take pride in you work too.
Either one will do you good. They are both friends and often check each others work out.
