The worm gear on my Shimano Tekota 700LC started acting up a couple of weeks ago so I sought out a repair shop in Anchorage, B&Js recommended the Tackle Repair Center. Took the reel over and had it back good as new in under a week for less than it would have cost to send it to the factory. Granted it was under warranty but you have to pay shipping and that adds up.

The guy even had the parts in stock, looks like he has parts for just about every Tackle repair imaginable.

:proud:Now one of my two favorite reels is back in action for the remainder of the fishing season.

Just wanted pass it on.
561-0444 is the number.

I haven't had to use them for my reels, but have had them replace several guides and tips on my halibut rods. You can tell the repaired guide from the factory guide.

My experience was totally different than y'alls. Can't say I'd recommend them to anyone after my last experience, if anyone's curious, feel free to PM me.

In Tag's defense....he has had some very serious medical problems the last two yrs. and his son stepped in to help him out. That result has been so..so .
But Tag. (Wayne Taggart) is back on his feet again and working in his shop. His work has always been very good and reasonable for me. Give him a try. He moved his shop to his new home in the condo complex, No. 12, on the road to the Senior Citizens Center and just before it on the right in Ninilchik.
