Hello, is it Jonesville Mine road that you take to get into the hills above Sutton? Heading out there to go grouse/ptarmigan hunting tomorrow and I just want to make sure I have the right road.

Anyone been up there recently? Any birds?

Yes it is Jonesville road. I was up there a couple of weeks ago and we only got one spruce hen. Saw a bunch of sheep above Eska falls and a few moose hunters. Should be a nice ride. A couple of mud holes that will eat you for lunch, but you can pick your way around them.

Do you need an ATV for that area or can you drive up in there?

You won't make it to the top with a truck, but you can drive quite a ways in. You can make it to some birds with a truck without any problems, but the ATV will get you all the way to the waterfalls.
