Stampede Trail

Does anyone know what the current condition of Stampede trail out of Healy? Looking for accessability and snow/depth conditions for trucks, ATV's or if I need to bring a snowmachine.

Any info will help alleviate a wasted trip.

Its probably too late for snowmachines, the rivers will be rising also. I'd say atvs, but without knowing what the rivers look like it hard to say if youd get very far.

You should be able to make it to the Savage on a wheeler but beyond there i don't know.

I drove out to the 8-mile turn around yesterday. There is very little snow out there near the trail. Saw about five caribou playing out there

Rivers starting to rise pretty quickly. Not snowmachine weather any more. Very little snow left around on that side of the range. You will have to deal with high water levels! Have seen some griz and bou movement in the area.
