snow level valdez

i know i should be posting on hunting and sorry, but no replys, anyone shrimping or fishing out of valdez area that could tell me about if they have seen any bear activity, or how far the snow has receded. Up in north pole and looking for information, is this week too early to head down?

Been looking, haven't seen any signs. But have my .338 onboard in case I do. Before I pull my strings, I will normally float and glass the hills.

Shrimping has started, doing OK for the first pull. The snow aove the flats is melting but the slopes farther out are still snow covered. I have seen one bear above the flats acouple of times. It is a non-hunting area though. I might get out to my bear stand latter in the week, about 20 miles out.
