Small, printable first aid guide

I have been searching around for a bit but I just cannot seem to find what I am looking for. Currently I am putting together a couple first aid kits for various applications (car, base camp, backpacking, etc.) and I would like to include some sort of guide with basic first aid information like you get when you buy a retail first aid kit but maybe a bit better. Has anyone seen anything like that that would be printable? I am hoping to find something somewhat comprehensive but not over bulky and hard to fumble through should a situation arise. Thanks.

I can recommend two difference ones “Backcountry First Aid and Extended care” by Buck Tilton 4x5 inches or “Out Smart in the outback” 2 ½ x 3 ½. WWW.outsmartoutback.com F&G give them out when you take one of there courses. One thing I like about the out smart is the back ½ is how to survive in the wools.

Here ya go, straight out of the EMT handbook:

1. Air goes in and out, blood goes round and round, Any variation of this is bad.
2. If you drop the baby, pick it up!
3. Remember when dealing with patients, families and supervisors; if it felt good saying it, it was the wrong thing to say.
4. All bleeding stops....Eventually!!
5. Generally, its a BAD thing to use the term HOLY **** in refrence to the patients condition!!
6. Anyone on the scene drunker then the patient, is the REAL problem.
7. All patients have a full stomach....at first!!!
8. If you respond to a car accident after midnight and do not find someone drunk, keep looking, you are missing a patient.
9. The dead seldom get better, on the other hand, they never get worse
10. Patients do not read the text books.
11. An unconsciouse patient is a co-operative patient.
12. Most of your patients will be healthier then you are.
13. Training is learning the rules: experience is learning the exceptions.
14. Common sense...is NOT common.
15. If it's warm...and wet...and not yours...DONT TOUCH IT!

+1 on out smart in thr outback. They are given out here for hunters safety. Great guides for most things. You can always print one out and laminate for bigger issues

Thanks. I looked up the first one but it seems a bit lengthy. Probably a good read but at 120 pages or more it might be a bit big for what I am looking for. The "Outsmart" guide looks interesting but the link doesn't work for some reason. I did a search and came across the site linked below. It is named a little different from what you stated. Is this it? Since it is free, anyone have a digital version they would email/link?

Basically I am looking for something that I will actually take with me that isn't to big and bulky. I am pretty confident in my knowledge but it is always nice to have a reference and even better should something happen to me and a less experienced person needs to administer aid to me.

The Backcountry First Aid and Extended care book is only 67 pages. Bought it at Eagle Enterprises in 1998. Could it be out of print? Have you tried REI they have lots of books.
