My father and I are going to be in the Kenai Peninsula July 28 - August 4. Our original plan was to fight the crowd, avoid becoming scat, and target the sockeyes at the Russian River. We have not totally given up this idea; however, with the second run expected to be weak, we are thinking about other salmon options. On the way from Anchorage, we may try Bird Creek, but in our experience we bring back more mud than fish there. Will it be too early to catch silvers from the beaches at Seward? What other roadside silver opportunities are out there for our timeframe?
Thanks,
