I shrimped Prince William Sound over the 4th of July for my first time. We did very well in my opinion. We were setting pots at around 400 feet.
I am heading back again on July 30, and have been told to expect to find shrimp deeper this time. Can anyone provide any info on this topic. Not sure whether to go back to gps pot waypoints, or start in deeper water. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

That is what I have been reading. As the summer progesses the shrimp move deeper. I always shrimp in 600-675 feet of water. I rarley pick up trash fish at this depth. It does take alittle bit of work due to using more rope. I tried today by the falls right across from Whitter. On one pull I think we can up with 2 dozen coons. We set 3 pots out. I wasn't to impressed but for a short trip in the water I take it.
