Has anyone found shrimp in the "The North Gulf Coast" or are they all in PWS? Do well in PWS but its alot shorter steam to go fishing in Seward, and hate not dropping the pots.

I've been fishing out of Seward for about 6 years this go around and I when I asked about shrimping in the area I got the same response... (Nothing really). And I don't recall ever seeing anyone doing it. I've asked many locals about it and have always been told the same thing. Want shrimp - go to PWS. I am sure if you try hard enough you might catch 1 or 2, but if your really wanting them, I guess you need to travel a bit. Or you can drop your pots and give it a go. Let us know how you do and good luck.

I gave it a go out of Seward, I wont be bringing my pots to Seward again (one crab, one snail). PWS has been good to me shrimping this year, the few times I have been out there.

If everyone runs to south montegue from Seward to catch their big fish - how is it that much shorter from PWS - what is 20 miles by the time you have gone 75 anyway?

Weird. Guess you asked the wrong locals. Used to be a lot of commercial shrimping going on back in the day. There are shrimp around if you know where to look. And not 75 miles out of Seward
