I was lucky enough to take my first sheep this past august. After I shot him he fell off a 80 ft ledge. When he landed one of his horns popped off the cone or core whatever you want to call it. When it popped off it got about a three to four inch crack going up from the base of the horn. Now it has dried and shrank a little and crack has overlapped itself. Is this fixable? I want to do a skull mount and just hang it on a skull hooker. How do I fix this? Do I need to take it to someone that has a tool to stretch the base back out? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Clean skull like you want. Then soak cracked horn in warm water to rehydrate/ open crack/swell horn. Once horn swells slide onto horn core. If satisfied on how it looks with the test fit, drill a small hole in back of the horn and pin with nail or screw to keep it in place while it dries.
