Sending real time Photos over Sat-Phone?

Does anyone have any experience sending real time photos over a Sat-Phone and what it might entail? Is it completely cost prohibitive and/or way too slow?

Using any Iridium phone your upload is 2,400 b/s at full signal strength. Loose 1 bar of signal and that is reduced 50%. Each minute will cost you between $1-$1.75. If you are a journalist using an external antennae it might be worth it.
