Found a scott 22’ James bay this winter, picking it up when snow melts. Previous owner ran a 40 hp Honda on it. I priced out the 40 hp tiller steers and they are all pushing $10000 around here anyway. I bought a new Suzuki 30 hp EFI instead for $7000. The 30 hp Suzuki is almost 80 lbs lighter than a 40 hp. Looking forward to trying it out this summer in peace river. So if anyone is looking I’ll probably sell that new Albany I bought last year . Thanks

10 HP 15 HP 20 HP they will all all work they will all work for you , where you see it is in big WATER , in shallow water it is hard to see , remember the faster you go the more damage you will get , large loads an fast turns, is where you will have problems in the long time , canoe's don't bend in the middle , I never bent a canoe but have destroyed the middle seat supports a couple of times , [ TOP AN BOTTOM ONE'S ] not on one trip [ many trips ]
