I heard it has slowed down quite a bit… Late late night and very early morning are probably your best bet, but it will probably be shoulder to shoulder. I was there last weekend and you had to fight to get into the holes. Not my style.

I fished Russian and Confluence the last 3 days. Fish were few & far between in both. Sighted fish in the Russian [3-5 on average] were on a mission to get up to spawning grounds. You were lucky to get 2 casts on them before they moved out.
Bears were plentiful w/ 3 brown bear cubs [orphaned?] getting a lot of up-close attention. We saw 9 different bears up & down the river. Only 2 were balck bears. Please be bear safe so "they" don't pay the price for human ignorance ~ good luck & fish on!
