Rod Storage

What does everyone put their ice rod and reels in for long trips across bumpy terrain? I have a small rifle case with padding that works alright for holding 3 rods with reels on them (2 bait casters, 1 spinning) and another couple bare rods without reels. I like this setup, but am wanting something even more durable for the banging of auger and gear in the sled. I like the looks of the Otter Rod Box and am leaning towards one:

I have the rod box made by otter just like the one on ypur link. Pretty durable box. I do not think you will be disappointed with it.

I bought a keyboard case made out of heavy duty nylon with handles and a couple of zippered pockets off of Amazon for $39 and free shipping. I lined it with 3 inch foam rubber which I cut out to fit 4 ice fishing rods with bait caster reels. I put one more piece of 3 inch foam on top of the rods and zipper it shut. It is very light weight and it holds up well riding for miles in a sled with other gear banging around in it.

I also have the otter rod box. You can get them at Frontier Sporting good. Ron liked mine so well he went out and got one also. You can throw it in the snowmachine sled and not worry about it getting banged around. Well worth the money.
