Red Shirt Lake ice thickness/pike fishing

Got a cabin rented this coming weekend at Red shirt lake, has anybody been out there recently? How thick was the ice? How was the pike fishing?

Redshirt is a pretty slow lake, but there are some decent pike if you are patient and consistent. I would print off a bathymetric map on the ADF&G website and look for shallow areas (10' or less) and concentrate your efforts there. Finding weeds or structure will be all the better too. A popular fishing spot is just off where Lynx Creek dumps in. Can't say it's ever been hot fishing there, and the fish are generally pretty small, but it could be a start.

Not sure call ak parks an reck. They will tell you, call down town an they will transfur you or give you the number, they like people to use there parks, it gives them something to do

Went out yesterday. Fished the creek at the opposite end of the lake from the winter trail and it was sloooooooooooow. Hope things pick up.

is the creek between flathorn and redshirt frozen solid during the winter or do fish migrate between the two lakes?
