there is no doubt that another source of benzene in the kenai is from the tesoro station in sterling. have you wondered why the old fish plant(in sterling) shut down? their well was loaded with benzene, and tesoro is right across the highway. they had a leaking tank for years. the ins and outs of the court hearings are beyond the scope of this forum, but the fact is that tesoro got off with a major pollution crime with hardly punishment at all. it's a sad day for this state when this kind of crap goes on and nobody is made to clean it up.
