Been a boat owner since 1995, but both of my boats have been inboard with an outdrive. Been on plenty of larger shaft driven boats like a 42 Uniflite. On that boat we used a trolling sock to slow the boat down to troll. Is this the most common setup? Can you rig an outboard to drive the boat (such as ez steer application for outdrive)? If you troll using the big motor and sock, do you need a trolling valve?
