was working on a trip over there and up to trinity lake and heard once past the big sue you run out of snow all blown away the guy i heard it from said they burned off there hifax its that bad but i have been to alexander and great to there
What little snow was there is mostly gone after days of sustained wind last week/weekend. Very little snow on the lower Su near Alexander and beyond. What snow is left is rock hard.
TMS: If you freight needs to be in Beluga this year, and you want help - you might call Mike Mason at Alexander Creek. You could haul your stuff out to his place and then pay Mike to haul it the rest of the way. That way you aren't reliant on trails being good on a weekend between now and breakup, if that is your situation.
A recent update to this thread: The folks from Tyonek are traveling between Pt. Mac and Beluga/Tyonek. But they are using 4 wheelers due to all the ice that is exposed in the large swampy area to the west of the West Channel of the Big Su. You could probably make it across this ice section on a snowmobile if you really, really wanted to - but your slide rails wouldn't love you any more.
