price of dip nets

Thanks for the advice. I just thought with so many people moving in and out of Alaska, and a dipnet being so awkward to move, there must be someone out there with a good used one.

Have you checked Craigslist. I agree, why would anyone move and take their dipnet with them? I'm not aware of anywhere else in the country that you could use one.

So, I picked up my new Chitina net today from B&J. $75 for the hoop. $20 per 6' handle extensions (I got 2). $12 for the quick release D handle. The hoop has the black netting, not Kenai monofilamint color, those are another $10. An extra black net was like $12. I also picked up the patch kit. I'm all in for $148.

The 5' hoops were more on the order of $120 or something.

All hoops are solid 1/2" aluminum rod.

They have the Copper River "Boat Dredger" if you're intersted, for around that $85 price point, "Hoop" only.
