So I'm looking for a few different ideas on making or purchasing a rear cargo rack for a RZR. What are you guys using?
I had my first SxS experience this past weekend in Eureka with a rental Ranger and was far from impressed with the ride quality the machine has. I initially had crossed off the RZR due to the fact it has so little cargo space in the bed. But, with some searching I have found a few options for additional storage but none that I would be 100% sold on. I plan on using the rig for hunting and leisure riding. Any pics, options, or advice greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Nothing fancy there but I like it! +1
What did you use for the back bar section?

The back bar is one of those bed extenders from a pickup...those things that flip over onto the tailgate when it is down and flips back into the bed when the gate is up...

2 flat packs of fuel store right behind the rear window and 2 of the 2.5 gal cans store in the far rear corners perfectly...so 14 extra gals of fuel and remove the rear seats and you've got plenty of storage too :)....I'm going to leave the 6x home this year and try a moose hunt with it...seems like it should work out fine...

I am interested in seeing what you come up with and what other Razor owners are doing. I bought the Razor 570 LE for my wife. I don't want to carry fuel on top of the engine and the Razor is already tail heavy due to engine being in the rear. I will probably have a custom bumper made so I can carry 100 lbs. on front of Razor.

Bringing one back up for you....I used the RZR exclusively this season and left the 6x at home...it is hands down the superior machine if your hunting style is covering ground and packing a relatively light camp....if packing a very comfortable camp for extended stays than the rangers win quite easily...

We harvested a moose and caribou and the RZR handled the load easily with 2 guys and a simple camp...

One downfall with the RZR is you won't stay nearly as clean and dry as you would in the Ranger... :)

I am wondering how to carry more in my wife's 2013 570 LE. I don't want to carry fuel in back as that is where the engine is and I have never seen a small prtable plastic fuel tank that did not eventually leak. Also, it is already heavy in the rear end because of the engine. Putting 150 lbs. on the front interests me, but will probably require a custom bumper and surgery to the plastics. Pulling the passenger seat if there is only the driver is a easy thing to do to gain storage area. As for the ride, unless you get a fancy model or go after market for upgraded shocks and springs the ride is rough.

I must have a fancy model because the ride is awesome...far from rough :) ....

As far as storage goes, I have the 4 seater... The 2 seater would certainly be a challenge to get much gear/meat out unless you were alone....

Bolster up the top. Lots of room there. This 800S rocks in the bumps. Love it!
