Slightly different application for me. I put pods on my 20' sea ark with 115hp outboard. I've noticed some improvement in getting on step a little quicker, maybe not digging in quite so much when starting out....but the best aspect is having something to stand on when I have to do something to the outboard. Digging something out of the jet, getting a rock out of the intake, adjusting the trim, etc.

Of course, you may not need that benefit with an inboard. I guess it would make a nice step if you're getting in and out the boat at all. Or maybe a nice step in for a dog?

They worked wonders for my outboard. I'm sure they will add extra buoyancy.

Some pods aren't even in the water when you are on step. They just help level the boat when sitting still, and provide a little more lift when getting out of the hole.

I added pods to my 1652 SeaArk MVJT. While at rest the boat was very stern heavy. They helped when planing out when it was just me (outboard jet tiller setup). If the boat was loaded to float level (fore and aft) the pods were not necessary.

So if your SJX isn't floating level what do you have that can be moved up front? Then you won't need pods. Also pods wouldn't cause cavitation since they are well behind your pump's intake.
