has anyone been out on the kenai pen lately? any word on if the black bears are still out and working the berries?

The brown bears are out pretty thick, why don't you shoot one of them Seriously, I got one two weekends ago and I had a friend tell me he saw two around the pass this past Monday.

I'm guessing that he was joking about the brown bears, hence the smiley face. He probably was referring to black bears in Turnagain Pass.

last weekend we seen 3 bears. from 6mile to round mtn. all were up high scrounging berries. Gonna try again on saturday.

Yes I was referring to Turnagain Pass. Sorry I couldn't resist the brown bear comment, seeing as the biologist down here actually admitted in the paper that there is evidence of the brown bear population increasing, but still won't open the season.

I stopped in sept & talked to the bio in soldotna I was talking about black bear he reccomended a few areas for me to ck out but cautioned me as to how thick the brown bears where. hmm dont figure.
