Our Nation is Occupied by Losers

Am I missing something, or are our cities being subjected to wasteful demonstrations by losers claiming to be 99% of society? Someone explain it to me, I really can't get my mind wrapped around what these people expect to happen from all of this drama. Is this some sort of overspray from the Middle East demonstrations to topple dictatorships? It really has me confused and embarassed for us as a society. I am a proponent of the right to free speach, but c'mon man! How do these people afford to sit in a public square chanting nonsense all day? Personally, I have to work all day to survive. I must be in the 1% I guess????

What say you all? Am I alone in the 1% bracket?

It's not an issue of 99% and 1%. They came up with those numbers to make sure that everyone self-identified with them. It's more like 47% and 53%, or the percentage of people who pay taxes versus those who do not. It didn't sound like such a good sound byte to say that they were the 53% of Americans paying nothing in Federal taxes... it's more friendly on the ears to run down a class that most of us will never join. If they were honest, they'd just put "envy" on all their signs, but that didn't sound like a political winner either - and we know it's all politics.
