need help in Juneau

looking for info about hunting around Juneau, we usually go to Admirality Island but with the weather this year sounds like everything is freezing up. We thought we would try around Juneau instead. any thoughts would be appreciated.

Your best bet in my opinion, would be to have one of the people who do boat charters take you out of Juneau to Admiralty for day trips or drop you off for a longer stay than pick you up. Oliver's Inlet you can walk the short distance over the tram tracks to Seymour canal where there is a forest service cabin . Young's Bay has a forest service cabin also. You could camp all along that northeast side for easy pickup by boat. My oldtime favorites long ago was Barlow cove near point retreat.
