Need a new tripod

I was wondering what you sheep hunters use for a tripod with your spotting scope? Do you recommend a pistol grip head or are they too heavy? Thanks for your help.

I had the Manfrotto 322 till recently and found it bulky. Take a look at some traditional pan/tilt heads as well as the pistol grips. B&H Photo is a great place to buy from and they sell everything....
