I had the same situation last year. Lost lots of fish due to the line breaking above the first hook. Test did not matter, 30, 40lb... I thought it was my fishermen not setting the drag correctly. NOT! I was fishing by myself and had the exact same thing happen to me and I have to have the drag really lite so I can get to the back of the boat. Brand new out of the package and they were breaking on the first fish. It was totally frustrating.
