Hi All,

Has anyone built in McCarthy, own land there or know anyone that has? I'm just curious because I like the area and wonder what the pros/cons are to owning and/or building a cabin there, i.e. water, septic, getting building material in and having things done such as a foundation or well put in?

Prices going up

Prices in McCarthy have skyrocketed since the mine has turned into park. There's university land there, and the last block went fast. I haven't heard if a new section will go up for auction.

But, prices have climbed tremendously. A place with a lot of locals with a lot of history you may or may not want o get involved with.
