I recently got my Marlin guide gun back from gunsmith in Texas who did an action job on it. Not even the same gun. So impressed, I had to put a plug in for the guy. Only charged like $75. He works alot with the comboy action shooting guys and works on lever actions exclusively. He polishes all the internal parts and uses springs that are weaker. This can be done once all the metal parts are polished and trued. Takes 1/4 the effort to load ammo in the gate, lever the action. He also installed one piece firing pin.
